4/17/2018 Monk Seal Dailies: (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Point Update

Had a big surprise out at the point today: RL42 was hauled out on a reef being washed by the waves. She moved up further to stay dry. She's so BIG and looking VERY healthy. Perhaps scouting locations?...
There were many visitors today from Canada, Germany, mainland. Everyone of them fascinated by the wild life and the beauty of they're surroundings.
RR70 "RIP" did a big entrance to the Main Pool for the delight of all watching, but he opted to go near his favorite rock and do the hippo.

Albatross chicks are getting bigger and many are already showing white feathers on their bellies and black feathers on their backs.

 RL42
 RIP
