4/27/2018 Monk Seal Dailies (part 2) Lesley''s Ka'ena Point Update

An early start and a very busy day
RN58 "Luana" was my first find. She took her time to haul out and spent the day on the beach. I checked on her several times and was there when she left.
Made it to the point after assessing the roads. Weather was pleasant, I could see dark clouds towards Turtle Bay and behind but the rain didn't make it here.
RL42 has finally left Ka'ena's Pool and was hauled out on some reefs near Nihoa's Pool.
RR70 "RIP" and R3CU were in the Main Pool. It doesn't seem like R3CU has moved in the last couple of days. I observed him for some time and he seems fine.
Did lots of outreach, interesting that today there were many Europeans couples hiking French, Polish, German, Italians.

Clear the way here come Luana
