04/03/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley, Gayle and Team Billand.
For the second day in a row Team Billand came up empty with no sightings, despite decent weather the seals were off somewhere else.

Gayle's only find today was one lone critter on Rabbit Island.

Lesley had a little more luck at Ka'ena Point today. Here is Lesley's full update:

Did a quick outing to the point this afternoon to check on roads and wild life
At the point I found RO40 "Ka'ena" between his pool and Nihoa's Pool. Last week RW02 was in that spot. He was just hauling out.
further on hauled out on the reef island of the Main Pool was RW02 "PVKauai".
There was a lot of plastic floating around and on the reefs. I did some cleaning up, but there's plenty more in the water in the outside pool ;(
As I was heading out I looked up to the satellite station and saw dozens of Ewa Birds playing in the wind. Lower around the NARS the Albatrosses were also playing.
Chickies looked much better than Saturday when they were soaked to the bone.
They're predicting more rain for tomorrow....
