8-29-2013 DB's Dailies:Kea@AD, Benny&Right Spot@SB&BH, Ewa Girl@RI, Kaiwi@BF, M&M@KCG, RIP&Haupu@RR, Buster@DH

At 0545 I found Kea (RN46) just hauling out the rock flats, 100yds east of the AD Wall. He moved into his favorite tide pool channel. According to the log Kea remained in the pool until hauling out at 1208 to the rocks fronting the pool and from that point until end of day was in snooze mode. Its beginning to appear that the boy is doing night time feeds and snoozin’ all day, just like the older animals .

At 0646 posse member Teri called to advise that 2 animals were at Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 0649 I found Right Spot (R016)&Benny (RE74) together at the "Middle Peaks" break , right in the big middle of the Sandy Beach show. I cordoned them off, and at 0911 lifeguard posse member Donovan called to advise that both animals had departed. I got a call from Tati at 1146 with a report of an animal foraging off shore of the Blowhole Lookout. When I arrived at 1200 I found that it was Benny & Right Spot doing 10 minute dives.

At 0724 I found Ewa Girl (RS00) at Left Middle Cliff, on Rabbit Island. She was still the only RI resident on my afternoon recheck.

At 0940 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Buster Flats.

Team Billand reported M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds.

At 1051 the Billands reported RIP (RR70)&Haupu (RB24) at the Reef Runway . The NOAA folks responded and relieved RIP of his Critter Cam.

Colleen had called at 1414 advising that a friend had reported an animal at Diamond Head. Initially, it was believed to be Rocky, however shots from Dera and a later check by Colleen, confirmed the Buster (RV08) ID. DB must be really really tired to not comment on the photo of buster and his friend in blue sunbathing at Diamond Head.... thing is the photo is pretty cool with the blue cone matching other blue accessories :-)
