September 5, 2025 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:42 to 2:32 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
Out on the rock flats on the Lanikai side of LPB was recent weaner RU48: recent weaner size, shape and coloration, two red tags and possible applied bleach on his lower right side.
On the berm on LPB was an Unknown Weaner: (or possible juvenile) weaner size and two red tags. Unsure about its sex. Because yearling RT19 was in this area on Wednesday, it could possibly be him.
On the waterline near the 1SB side of LPB was an adult seal labeled RJ30 Wailea. She was in this location on Wednesday. Dark coat, at least on tag. At 1:50 pm she was gone and Marilyn did not see her again.
Out between SRI and RRB was a Male Weaner: weaner size and shape, light male belly and two red tags.
Marilyn also spent time watching the Masked Boobies, Sooty Terns and a Black-crowned Night Heron.

Team R&B first find was at Pokai where there were two seals. They were resting on the rocks together. Team R&B ID'd RH76 Kala and RG32.
They spotted a seal foraging by rest camp. They watched and ID'd RH48 Lei Ola as she stayed out there today foraging alone.

Heading over to tracks they found two seals. The two were resting and ID'd as RL20 Kalua and R604. They rested and then argued, seems
RL20 wanted to be closer to her and she wasn't having it.

Lastly they got word of a seal at plains. They finally made it out and found R407 Kawika. He was alone in a zone set up for him. The waves were coming in hitting his belly, but he no care.
