September 18, 2025 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:52 to 3:14 pm and initially there were no seals on island.
Then at 12:59 an Unknown Unknown hauled out between SRI and RRB. The U/U was sub-adult to weaner size with two rags. That was about all Marilyn could determine about the seal.
During one of the scans of the outer crater rim Marilyn counted 11 Masked Boobies. That is the most she has ever seen at one time. It appears Rabbit Island may become a Masked Booby rookery.
Marilyn noted that the Adult Female she saw yesterday was most likely RJ30 Wailea.

Team R&B started off seeing a single seal foraging off of Rest Camp. They ID'd R3CX Nalu and then he was gone.
They did get to enjoy the dolphins doing what they do best.
Next they found Miss Kala RH76 at her spot. She was alone and resting peacefully.
Later in the day they went to check on Kala and there she was in the company of R3CX Nalu. He found her again.

Team R&B spotted a seal onshore from afar. It was R604 looking thin resting alone by the camps. They weren't able to make it over to the area.

They made their way over to plains and saw the signs up. There was a seal in the zone, and they were pleasantly shocked to see R416 Makalii. This is first time they have seen him here. He is quite green.

Heading back to make a final check on Kala. They found her alone and settling in for the night. She is about 30% molted and will soon be gorgeous.
Then they saw a seal foraging at Rest Camp and once again it was R3CX Nalu. That boy can grind!
