Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:45 to 2:45 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI was an Adult Female: robust adult size, gray female belly, two red tags, scars on lower neck area. IT also appears that she has some large scars/dips on the top of her head.
On the rock flats between SRI and RRB was a Weaner Male: weaner size and shape, two red tags, yellow male belly.
At 1:50 pm an Unknown Weaner: hauled out on LPB, eyed a bird onthe beach and looked around. When Marilyn checked back at 1:57 pm, the U/W was gone. The U/W was weaner size and shape and had two red tags. Marilyn did not see the ventral so there was no information on sex.
At 2:34 pm, probably the same U/W hauled out at RRB and almost immediately went into snooze mode. Again this was weaner size and shape, red tags and no view of the ventral.
Team R&B headed over to pokai. They looked around and didn't see Kala right away. Then they found her in small pond but very alert. They assumed she must have had a visitor or something that would alert her.
There were no other seals anywhere at the rest camp, so they left and spent time talking story with their homeless friend.
As they walked out they realized they misplaced their walking stick. They went back to look and it looked pretty hopeless. Then their friend let them know the walking stick was by her.
Then they came across a second seal visiting with RH76 Kala. It was RG32 visiting, Kala woke up, but he was a gentleman and let her be.
Next they decided to make their way over to white plains. They were happy they did, since they found KG89 Huaka'i on shore. She is looking nice and plump. The lifeguards said there was another seal withher when she arrived, but it took off before Team R&B arrived.
They decided to go back and check on Kala. She was still there and moved higher up and then back down. Seems she can't get comfortable since she is molting. RG32 moved to front rocks. He was alone resting peacefully.
They did see the boobie hanging out on the wall in the company of a crab.
