They started their day as usual checking pokai. It took them a while but they finally found Miss Kala RH76. She was well hidden in the rocks on the other side. She was alone at this time.
They stayed waiting around and it paid off. They spotted other seals one with a lot of green and one with a clean coat near the jetty area.
Suddenly the green seal coming towards the area. The seal very cautiously hauled out by RH76. It was R3CX Nalu who seemed pretty happy to find her. She wasn't happy to see him, so he moved to theright of her and settled down.
There were two seals by the jetty from the rest camp side. One was green with two tags, the other had a clean coat who they ID'd as Lei Ola RH48.
Heading back to pokai and they heard a man yelling. They went to check what was happening and there was RH76 Kala. Team R&B asked the man to stay calm, the seal was resting. She was alone.
Then the guy saw a seal coming in, so they went to check and there was RG32 hauling up, very cautiously. RG32 didn't see Kala at all, and she was resting just fine.
Lastly they spotted two seals on shore at tracks. They observed from afar. There was one with a clean newly molted coat, who they ID'd as R604. She is thin but looks to be putting on some weight.
The other seal was sub-adult size, male, same one as yesterday. They could see the cc scar under belly with mint green coat. They ID'd RP28 Wakea. He was around last week.
Then the rains came so they called it a day.
