July 1, 2026 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 2:10 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.
At 1:21 pm Marilyn saw a Weaner Unknown hauling out on the rocks near the Lanikai side of LPB.  The unknown weaner never showed its belly, it was weaner size and had at least two flipper tags.
Of the Lanikai side of the center of LPB were two seals:
Adult Female: small adult size, older coat, light yellow female belly, not sure about tags.
Nearby was a Sub-adult Female: might be RU28. The SF is about 60% molted with a fully molted ventral and some molting part way up the sides.
Down from the 3BS were RM26 Nohea and her pup PO10. The pup was nursing when Marilyn first started viewing, but a short time later stopped nursing and moved up above mom's head. PO10 is getting plump.
Near the SRI entrance was a Weaner Male: weaner size, male belly and at least two red tags.
Out on RRB was a Juvenile Female: small juvenile size, lots of green, female belly, unsure about tags.

Team R&B started on the west side and weren't finding much until an adult seal passed them when they were in the Kahe area. The seal didn't land while they were out there.
Meanwhile they were watching the dolphins doing what they do best putting on a show.
Then from afar they spotted a sub-adult green seal had landed at
tracks.

They got to the pup site later and were shocked to see people were where Rocky and the pup had spent the last four days swimming in the ponds. Team R&B asked one of the guys where are the seals?
They were, mid pond floating about and exploring. Team R&B mentioned they were concerned all the people by the birth site. Rocky will take her pup there for a rough water swim...... and she did.  Volunteer asked all to move away and up signs. All the signs at the driftwood side were gone and placed on the ground.
Rocky landed at the mid rocks, barked for PO11, who is 18 days old, to come up. PO11 struggled, but finally made it up for a feed.
Team R&B left for a while to check another spot.

They got word of a seal at plains, so they of course had to check it out. When they arrived they were happy to see RT06. He is looking fat and happy inside a zone set up for him. Such a cutey!

After checking on RT06 they returned to Rocky and PO11. The waves were pounding hitting them while they were still on the rocks. In the end, PO11 got pushed off the rocks and Momma Rocky watched her in the rough waters. She entered
the water as the pup was being washed off to the right. Rocky began vocalizing when she couldn't find PO11.Team R&B were worried, but then mom and pup were reunited heading towards the driftwood side. There were lots of people there in the pond, and Rocky was still being so vocal and they could see she wan pup were reunited again. The two of them hauled outside the fenced area, both tuckered out. PO11 wanted dinner and Mom fed her.
