September 11, 2025 Thursday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:09 to 3:00 pm and there four seals seen during that time.

In the middle of LPB was weaner RU48: recent weaner size, shape and coloration, blurry applied bleach on lower right side, two red tags and male belly.

Between 3BS and SRI was an Unknown Weaner: weaner size, shape and coloration, two red tags, could not determine sex.

Out near the RRB channel inlet were two seals:

Weaner Male: probably older weaner size and shape, light yellow male belly, two red tags. This is probably RU24, but Marilyn just wasn't sure. The weaner moved into the channel and disappeared at 1:38 pm.

Initially behind the Male Weaner was a Juvenile Male: juvenile size, older coat, male belly with considerable green, dark ring around eye, unsure about tags.

Team R&B started their day at pokai. They found RH76 Kala alone up at the grassy area. She rested for a while and then moved down to the

water and stayed there.

They spotted a seal foraging out by rest camp. The seal turned out to be R3CX Nalu. A short time later they noticed a second seal, but they just weren't sure of its ID. It was reported as an Unknown Adult being chased by Nalu.

At another west side location they spotted a seal on the rocks. It was RM31 Kai alone at seal inlet, looking quite green.

Next they saw two seals from afar at Tracks. They reluctantly made

their way over. There they found RG28 Lefty with RL20 Kalua. RL20 is molting and is almost done.

While there they checked around and was thrilled they did. They found on shore R604 with RP28 Wakea. R604 is looking thin and RP28 is mint green and adorable.

Lastly they headed back to pokai and was glad they made it. There on

the rocks was Kaale RH32 with Kala RH76. It took them a little bit but they were able to ID Kaale.
