Their next find was Ka'ale (RH32) at Maili was way up in the rocks alone and sleeping soundly. On their afternoon check he was still alone in the same spot.
Team Billand met two local ladies and spent time talking story. They noticed a big stick with a hook and line. One of the ladies was kind enough to retrieve the stick, tossed it up to them and came back up with a floater that was stuck on the rocks earlier. She broke off the hook from the lead from the stick and took it away from the area so no seal would get hurt. GREAT DAY in the neighborhood, it's how community works! Team Billand did search several other beaches and came up empty.
On Rabbit Island there were three critters all on the left side. Gayle did not find any other critters today but did say most places were flooded with high surf.
