10/10/2017 Monk Seal Dailies: Pohaku RO28 and Right Spot R016

Today's Dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Posse pal Gayle.  Big mahalos to you for your continuous and endless efforts being out there watching over these critters. Especially during fall break, because we know the beaches are going to be crowded.

Team Billand first checked the Leeward side and came up empty, so they headed off to the South West Side and there they found a seal at White Plains... (gee I wonder who?)  Oh Pohaku (RO28) she was all the way down by the fence line. They put up signs and ropes (that they made). They called the hotline and reported their concerns about fall break crowds.
They spent time talking with the public and surfers.  The left at 9:30 am after being on site for two hours.  Team Billand also included a photo of a Sharma Bird taking a bath in a small puddle (an extra treat).

Posse pal Gayle was out at Sandys today with Right Spot R016. She was at the waters edge all day and then moved up near evening. Gayle departed at 18:35.
