5/23/2017 DB's Dailies:

It was horrible observation conditions as the Rabbit Island day began, but at 0740 I found what would appear to be Kawena (RH36), mid beach at Seal Rock Inlet on RI.  As lighting began to improve ,but still suck, I would begin to see line visible from the right side of the mouth, and across the neck, and visible beyond the RFF. There also appeared to be something whitish near the right side of the mouth . I advised Tracy at 0900. As it turned out it was decided not to attempt the RI conditions. Kawena would depart at 1000. I did not see her again today.

In addition to that find, I also began with my arrival at 0740, of Sadie(RB12)&PO1(D#19) on the left end rock flats.  After another water session later, they would haul out to the beach, fronting 1BS at 1226.

There were also two finds at 0748 of Kea (RN46), right of Seal Rock Inlet, and RM38 at 0749 against the cliff at Rocky Right Beach.  RM38 would depart at 1105 and after a brief connection with Kea, he enter the water.  Kea would later enter the water, and would ultimately haul out to join Sadie&PO1 fronting 1BS.

Kelly G., called at 0640 reporting an animal behind the Haleiwa Surf Condo. A first time posse member Dennis Donley would send photos, confirming the RI37 female.  Thank you Dennis !

At 0808 Team Billand checked in with the report of RW02 & Ka'ale(RH32) at Maili.

At 1021 the Billands reported RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

At 1034 they also found Ka’ena (RO40) at a different part of Makua Cliffs.

At 1252 Team Billand reported found Benny (RE74) at Makaha, near the Makau St side of the beach.

I do multiple checks each day, and late this afternoon there appear to be a few Instagram shots of what appears to be Rocky(RH58), probably in the Queens area by the background. I’ve heard nothing official.

Thanks Miss Deb and Doris Day for your great work yesterday.

Sorry about the photos....you know what I mean.

WHERE IS POHAKU R028??????????????? Today is day 12 without any sightings of her any where. Wish she would call home, so we know: SHE IS FINE AND FAT SOME WHERE OUT THERE.

Prayers to Kawena!!!!!!!!!!!! Hold on kid, HOLD ON. Some day you will be tended to.
