Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:41 to 2:33 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Initially together about 40 feet Lanikai side of the SRI inlet were the two weaners, RU24 (po3) and RU38 (po4). Again RU24 seemed to trying to get away from RU38, but she kept pursuing him. Ultimately, RU38 nudged RU24 and then they both went into snooze mode. Later RU38 did pursue RU24 again. RU24 seems to want to be a loner.
About 1:07 pm, Marilyn became aware of an adult seal in the shallows about 20 feet Makapuu side of 3BS. This seal seemed to be checking out the weaners who were aconsiderable distance away. When the seal finally hauled out it was obvious the newcomer was a Pregnant Adult Female. Bothe RL12 Aukai and RH76 Kala are predicted to give birth in the next 3-4 days. Marilyn isn't sure which seal this is, but her first guess is RL12 Aukai. She thought she saw a ref tag of LRF but couldn't confirm in her photos.
Team R&B spent the day looking again and were batting zero. They kept at it and finally at pokai they saw a seal hauling into the zen area. Its head was up high looking around, they ID'd R3CX Nalu. He checked all the inlets and didn't fully land. They lost sight of him.
Although Team R&B had a slow seal day, that didn't stop them from enjoying some of the beauty that is around us. Of course there was a dolphin, alone jumping like crazy. Then they spotted a beautiful butterfly. Lastly they watched a boobie flying by.
