June 10, 2025 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:24 to 2:20 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI were the two weaners:
Weaner U38 (po4) was initially in the shallow nearshore waters and looked like she was probably picking up items and mouthing them. She was identified by her weaner size, shape and coloration, light female belly and two red tags.
Snoozing near the water line was weaner U24:(po3): weaner size, shape and coloration. light male belly and two red tags.
When U38 started hauling out, U24 started moving away and up the beach. Marilyn thought maybe he was afraid of her. She continued up next to him, but there was no real interaction. Then U38 went past him and both went into the snoopy snooze pose. U38 has re-entered the nearshore waters just before Marilyn left.
Initially in the surge channel at RRB was an Unknown Sub-adult: small sub-adult to large juvenile size, light yellow ventral, unsure about sex and at least one tag on the RRF. Later the Unknown Sub-adult moved out of the channel onto the rubble beach.

Team R&B's first find was at Kahe. They found RG28 Lefty sleeping alone in a small pond.  They noted all his scars, and it reminded them of him mom R028 Pohaku.

After much searching, they were feeling frustrated and was hoping they would see at least one dolphin.  Well the universe heard them, much to their shock one single dolphin appeared. It also put on a show by jumping at least 20 times, just for them.

They kept looking and at the very last stop of the day there was one more seal. There was RW02 PvKauai alone basking in the hot sun.
