A little further north Vicki found the beautiful Honey Girl R5AY all stretched out and resting. Both sites had volunteers watching over the ladies.
Team Billand arrived at the outfall at 7 am and spotted an adult seal with a natural bleach mark on its right side foraging. A little later (8:30) when they arrived at a nearby haul out there was Kalani RN14 on the rocks alone.
Back to a west side Team Billand found RW02 PvKauai near volunteer Melina's neighborhood. Team Billand originally went to check to see if Benny was around, but instead they found RW02 resting below the wall. There was one sign up and PvKauai was resting peacefully.
Just at noontime Team Billand headed over to one of the popular spots and found R3CU and RH36 Kawena on lower rocks. They were snorting at each other, resting and in the company of lots of crabs. To the right of them was little cutie RH76 Kala resting comfortably.
Team Billand did the Ka'ena West Trek, about 3 pm they were happy to find #206 Lina. Then Team Billand realized there were two men flying a drone very close to her.
At 3:15 Team Billand came across Ka'ena Ro40. He was alone, snoozing with no one around to bother him. He was still there on their way out.
