March 13, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. Lesley's Ka'ena Point Update is part two of the dailies.

At 6:15 this morning Team Billand stopped by one of the beaches where it's known a regular group of folks camp,. There were no seals on shore but did see two critters off shore fighting and playing.
They were able to ID the bosom buddies Kalani and Ka'ale, at times they came very close to the shore line, but never hauled out.  One of the campers was pretty close at times, Team Billand called the hotline to provide a full report.
They checked back at 10:30 and Ka'ale RH32 had finally landed and was alone. He was very alert, watching all the people who were moving about in the are. He is looking very plump and healthy.

Team Billand stopped this morning first check at the "popular" westside beach where Kekoa Alii was the first to come in. At 8:30 he immediately hauled up high rocks and remained there all day to the left side.
Also RW02 PvKauai was already up on the rocks by the time Team Billand noticed him on the right alone.
Kalani RN14 came in next around 9:30 and proceeded to argue with RW02. After their having words RN14 settled in with RW02.

On their afternoon check about 2:40, the boyz were still there and now RH36 Kawena had joined them at some point. She was well hidden which made IDing her a challenge, but after an hour she moved in such a way that her tag was visible.
She was with Kalani and RW02 relocated to the left in the shallows.
