March 16, 2019 (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Update

It was an absolutely gorgeous day at Ka'ena. The heat is finally back with promises of what our Fall & Summer may be like this year.
Whales put on a shoe all day long. The Albatrosses were very quiet, the chicks are growing in front of our eyes.
The 2 only seals I saw today were RO40 "Ka'ena" and RK88 "Puna" side by side at Back Beach.
I spent all day prepping for tomorrows closure of the park and didn't have time to check for more seals but had a private viewing of John-John and a friend surfing (because people didn't notice them as they hiked by) . What a treat !    Be safe and dry tomorrow ðŸŒº
