1/30/2016 DB's Dailies: Kolohe&RG32@Rabbit Island, UU@White Plains, Pohaku@Paradise Cove, Kekoa@Maili Pt, , UU@Nimitz Cove

At 0924 I found what would turn out to be Kolohe (RW22) , just as yesterday, on the water front rocks of Rocky Right Beach, on Rabbit Island. It took 3 hrs of waiting but he finally rolled over and showed me his right side “cue ball” bleach.

On a pan at 1154 I chanced upon RG32, fronting 1BS on RI. Both animals would remain all day, and were the cast for the SE quadrant today.

The Billands checked in at 0650 having just missed an animal at White Plains according to witnesses. The fresh wallow was at the usual Benny location, so he may have returned to the west side after his Diamond Head adventure, but ????

At 1039 Team Billand text advised that they had just departed the U’ilani memorial, and spreading of her ashes. Barbara was very emotional about having been on the canoe. The Billands were very close to U’ilani because of there weekly trips to the Reef Runway, her birth site.

Also on the 1039 text the Billands advised that Warren had just reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove.

Team Billand reported the find of Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point, at 1456.

They were next responding to a Dana call about an animal at Nimitz Cove. The UU was gone when the Billands arrived.

Kekoa big brother to U'ilani forever in our hearts
 Paradise Cove crowds....
and miss Pohaku needs to be here
silly seal go find yourself a secluded beach !!!
 sunset at Paradise cove
UU leaves a trail at white plains
