1/24/2016 DB's Dailies: Kea,Kainoa,RG32&Buster@Rabbit Island, Kaiwi@Blowhole Cove, Pohaku@Campbell Industrial Park, Benny@Tracks, RIP&Kekoa@Maili Point, 2 Forager, Maili Point

As I peered into the scope upon arriving at Makai Pier, for Rabbit Island observations, the first thing I saw was that beautiful white, right fore flipper there in the Morning Glory. Kea (RN46) was back ! He was last on Rabbit Island on 12-27-15. Thereafter he was seen in Portlock in an Instagram shot on 1-4-16, and then the Billand confirmed him foraging with another animal off shore of Campbell Industrial Park on 1-20-16.

He was lying along side what would prove to be RG32 at the log, 40 ft left of 1BS. Kainoa (RN04) was just hauling out to a spot 20 ft right of the log.

As I panned down the beach I found what would prove to be Buster (RV08) snoozin’ in the high grass, 80 ft right of 3BS.

Everybody would move down to cool off, at separate times, and all remained the entire day.

Both Marilyn in the morning, and Melanie in the afternoon, made passes through the quadrant. A Melanie text at 1454 reported Kaiwi (RK96) at the Blowhole Cove.

At 0753 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) on the beach, fronting Germaine’s Luau Grounds, Campbell Industrial Park.

The Billands responded to a Cianna call a 1038 finding Benny (RE74) at Tracks. At 1153 they found RIP (RR70) & Kekoa (RK72) together at Maili Point.

At 1228 the Billands advised that they were watching 2 foraging animals off shore of RIP & Kekoa’s location, but were never able to get an ID due to afternoon glare.
