6/3/2015 DB's Dailies: Cass&RM38@RI, BG@KBP, Benny@Pray For Sex, Lauren L., Benny@Mahaka, Kolohe@Guard Rails, Kolohe&Nihoa@Nanakai Beach, Maili, La'akea @Turtle Bay

Despite Gayle, Melanie & myself combing the SE quadrant through the day, the only animals noted were once again at Rabbit Island. At 0901 Weaner Cass hauled out fronting 1BS. At 0920 RM38 would stop by to check her out without fully hauling out. He would do this one more time. On his 3rd visit he actually hauled out and made contact. They would both enter the water together and do a swimming session in the immediate area from 1042 - 1212. They would both haul out together and remained 20 ft apart, snoozin’ on the beach for the rest of the observation day.

At 1819 posse member Vicki Hangai called with the report of an animal on the rocks at Kaupo Beach Park. When I arrived at 1830 I found BG (R303) snoozin’ on the rocks. Thank you Vicki ! New posse members, the Bumpy Kanehele family said she arrived around 1730. It was nearly dark so I elected not to draw attention to her. I’ll check her first thing in the morning. BG's last stop at KBP was on 2-15/16-15. She was last reported on Oahu on 5-2/3/4-15, at Guard Rails.

At 06223 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Guard Rails.

Lesley checked in at 0733 with the report of RW02 on the beach at Camp Erdman.

She did The End of the World trek and reported Ka’ena (RO40), still with hook, & RK36 at Ka’ena Point. RW02 was gone when she got back from the point. Later, at 1429 she saw what she presumed to be RW02, fronting the Lyman Mansion, but lo & behold it would turn out to be Kimo Kai, (RT12), who until today had been a Billand guy on the west side.

Diga was at Turtle Bay today, and thought no Ola, she did report La’akea (RK82) at Elbow Beach, TB.

With her Hotline hat on Diga also advised that caller Lauren Lastauska had reported Benny (RE74) at Pray For Sex, Makua Beach, on the west side. Confirmation photos received.

A later call at 1527, from Team Billand, advised that Debbie had reported Benny (RE74) at Makaha Beach. Confirmation photos received.

At 1721 Team Billand reported Nihoa (R912) & Kolohe (RW22) at Nanakai Beach Park, Maili. Nihoa appears to have a new wound on the left side of her neck.

Oh wow, I have been looking for Nihoa all week at the canal and beach side across the street. I had no idea she ended up in Nanakuli with a small wound on her neck. I've been going to the canal and beach side almost every day looking for her. Good to know she is okay and not in the canal all the time.
