1-26-2013 DB's Dailies:

At 0530 Kimo called to advise that Buster (RV08) was snoozin' at Alice's, Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 0600 I confirmed the Buster ID, and we cordoned him off. He has remained the rest of the day. His molt is 90%. Buster departed at 1851.

At 0702 I found what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) tucked into her cave, behind Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island. She would be the sole RI resident today.

At 0742 I found Kaiwi (RK96) doing 5 minute dives at Spitting Cave. Kimo advised that she departed at 0930. Zeeny would call at 1050 to advise that Kaiwi had hauled out to Lanai Lookout at 1040. June & Kathy were there at 1339 when Kaiwi departed .

Team Billand called at 0730 to report Makaiwi (R4DF) fronting #1708, White Plains.

At 0820 Lesley called to advise that T21M had apparently overnighted at Goat Island. She called again at 1640 on her way home to advise that he was still there.

At 0954 Cianna called to advise that she had gotten a call reporting "N8" and a molting animal at Ka'ena Point. Fortunately, Marilyn did the KP trek today and confirmed that it was Kerby (RW08) and an 85% molted 2AW on the back beach. Kerby would move to the front beach later.

Marilyn made another find on her way home at 1334. She found RL42, once again at the Keaau Bridge.

Cianna had called at 1128 with the report of 2 animals at Makaha. The Billands had their Whale Watcher hats on today, so they got there at 1355 to confirm the Benny (RE74) and Noa (R6FI).

At 1508 the Billands called with a report that Clay Gates had called them at 0800 this morning to advise that Rocky (RH58) had apparently overnighted at Iroquois. Point. She would depart at an unknown time.

At 1531 the Billands found Kermit (R012) at #1707, White Plains.

Zeeny called at 1706 to report Temp 412, (N32) somewhere near Maili Point. She would call again at 1746 to report that 3 people had thrown rocks, hitting her and causing her to depart.
