It was yet another challenging, drizzly day in the SE quadrant. At 0900 I found Buster at "Buster's Bush, "Alice's", Sandy Beach. I cordoned him off and he has remained all day. I picked up the rope at dark. Buster remains.
At 0938 I found Kolohe (RW22) up in the Morning Glory, and partially visible, 40 ft right of 3BS on Rabbit Island. It took a while but eventually his right side natural bleach became visible , allowing the ID.
On a pan at 0942 I found Aukai (RL12), once again high up in the vegetation, at the right side of Rocky Right Beach. Both would remain all day.
Team Billand checked in at 0825 with the report of Makaiwi (R4DF) fronting Tower #1, White Plains, and Kermit (R012) fronting #1707. Makaiwi would depart at 1745.
Team Billand called at 1813 to advise that M&M had just hauled out to join Kermit.
Ocean Safety called at 1445 with the report of 2 animals at Yokes. When the Billands arrived at 1522 they found only Benny (RE74). Witnesses said the other animal was about the same size as Benny, and had a dark coat. It had left approximately 40 minutes before the Billand's arrival.
