1-16-2013 DB's Dailies: Buster@RI, Kermit,Makaiwi&UU@WP, Ka'ena,Noa&Kerby@KP, 2AW@PFS, RL42@Keaau's

My first look at Rabbit Island was at 0700. I returned at 0830 and remained. There was nobody visible. It would be 1137 before the light got just so, and on one of many a pan I suddenly saw a hind flipper with a red tag, tucked into the base of the cliff, 100 ft left of 1BS. As the light slowly showed me more I realized at 1151 that it was a 10% molted Buster (RV08). He had no doubt been there all along. Buster moved down to the water line on the far left end of the beach at 1221 where he remained the rest of the day.

Team Billand called at 0620 to advise that Kermit (R012) had overnighted fronting the Snack Bar, and Makaiwi (R4DF) had also overnighted fronting #1708, White Plains.

At 1044 the Billands called to advise that a posse member had called them reporting a new arrival fronting #1707. It would prove to be M&M (R020)

Zeeny did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and at 0912 reported Ka'ena (RO40), Noa (R6FI), and Kerby (RW08) at the end of the world.
Team Billand called to say they responding to a call about an animal at Yokes. At 1412 they found a 50% 2AW, not at Yokes, but just down the beach at Pray For Sex (Makua).

The Billands called at 1519 to report that on their way back from PFS they found RL42 at Keaau's near the bridge. She had last been reported on 12-31 at KP.

Dana forwarded shots of KC (RK28) at Kaaawa, from Irene Theofanis.

Email from Dera advised that R5AY's transmitter has stopped working. There is no longer any high tech help in locating her.
