11-11-2012 Team Billand Back in Action!

MM @ White Plains
I suppose this dude is going in for the close up shot with his cell phone. Hmm makes you think cell  phones have become a management nightmare. Before cell phone cameras you just had to deal with the person who "happen" to have their camera with them.... otherwise most people didn't have that urgent excuse to get up close.  But those days are gone.... everyone is ready with their smart phones either with photos or video.
Kermit at White Plains... looks like these two are at least being respectful and moving by quickly,
Okay so I was wrong... they made a turn and decided to look a little closer
Kermit a nice big roar and a lunge forward would work... but no, you just lift your silly face for a better look.

Mr. Green... Benny you trying to imitate Kermit?

It was total nutsville at white plains Yesterday. The people just kept coming, putting up tarps, playing volley ball, paddle board game, wrestling each other, passing our signs that protect our beloved seals...what ta hell is going on???? THere seems to be this ANY ONE CAN COME AND DO WHAT EVER THEY PLEASE...NO RULES.

Signs posted, no large tents, but there were out there. NO loud music, there was. NO bottles, are you kidding??? Every one had bottles.

No pounding pegs in the earth...they did.

Our signs read, CAUTION and DO NOT APPROACH our seals WHO ARE CRITICALLY ENDANGERED...who cares, its a holiday weekend, lets party man!!!!! And that everyone did.

It was total crazy, insane day. Not easy to protect our seals. Both seals far apart...so Rob and I did the best we could, keeping the two animals SAFE.

We had ONE VOLUNTEER's help...Mr. Glen Cober. Thank god he came...the help was so appreciated. God bless you sir...

We tried everything, kindness, education, firmness, nothing worked. It was WILD Wild WILD!!!!!

Kids in the zone with water guns, boogie boards, kids running up to the seal...even adults. Signs posted all day...you would think one would respect the bounderies. Nah, its a holiday affair, and we are are gonna have a blast.

Someone asked, how long we been doing this, protecting the monks seals...OH about 5 and 1/2 years. And..it aint getting better...the crowds keep getting larger.

So, in conclusion, my point, Please volunteers, come out to help us...it is a three day holiday and boy it is Wild. Please, guys, gals, come help if you can for one to two hours...OK???

I just hope the seals go else where today, to give us a break..not that we dont love each and every one..its just insane on the beach with hundreds of partying people. ONE DAY LEFT...here we go...
