Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:18 to 2:52 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Initially Weaner PO3 was seen lolling in the nearshore waters between the 3BS and SRI. Then Marilyn lost sight of him. At 12:49 pm he hauled out on waterfront rocks on the Middle Cliff side of 3BS and stayed there for awhile. Later he moved closer to 3BS and hauled out on the beach. Marilyn did see his male belly and he seems to be doing fine.
At 12:44 pm, Marilyn became aware of aa seal hauling out on the left side of LPB. He moved furtherback on the beach and then out onto the rock flats before descending into a tide pool where she lost track of him The seal is labeled as an Adult Male: adult size, greenish gray male belly and a shallow pit scar at the base of the LFF; no info on tags. He did exit the tide pool and later was seen again on the rock flats.
Marilyn looked for Weaner PO4, but did not get a glimpse of her until 1:41 pm, when she saw the top dorsal of a seal in the surge channel of RRB. It wasn't until she hauled out of the surge channel at 2:12 pm that Marilyn was able to confirm it was weaner PO4, when she rolled and showed her female belly.
Despite Team R&B's searching everywhere there haven't had much luck finding any seals. But they keep at it day after day, hour after hour.
Finally late afternoon, there in a pond at cliffs there was a seal. It had a cc scar on its right lower side, which led them to ID RP30 Puka. They also saw his tags which confirmed their ID.
