May 25, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from noon to 1:30 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.
At 12:30 pm Marilyn saw that there were two seals near the back Lanikai side of LPB. One of the seals RL08 was seen leaving over the rock flats a short time later.
The other seal moved further on to the back of LPB. Marilyn labeled this seal as an Adult Male: adult size,  mottled tan male belly and at least one red tag.
When she first started viewing MO3 and PO3 were between 3BS and SRI. They had a nursing session and then the pup started wandering. While PO3 was some distance from MO3, RL08 headed out to MO3 and she was not happy. After a few lunges at each other RL08 decided to go back in the water and was not seen again. Between the two time Marilyn saw RL08, she noted his pit scars on his left shoulder, right shoulder, right mid dorsal and right rear. Later PO3 was playing in the shore break and did show his male belly.
At 12:13 pm, RF34 Pua and PO4 hauled out from the surge channel of RRB. Soon Pua rolled over so that PO4 could nurse. PO4 is six weeks
old today. Later as the tide was rising, PO4 was playing in the incoming waves and then Pua and PO4 left at 1:07 pm and Marilyn did not see them again.
We shall see how much longer the moms will be with their pups.

Team R&B were at Pokai studying the water, not seeing any critters. They spoke with some of the folks, who asked about Kala. Team R&B said they hadn't seen her lately, hoping she was heading east to give birth.
Then out of no where they spotted a seal in the water bobbing up and down. It was heading in, very alert head high. It turned out to be R3CX Nalu in cruiser mode again. He went to every single seal inlet that Kala usually goes to rest.
Then there was a man on his phone who saw Nalu, and got sooooo excited seeing a seal coming in. Team R&B took the time and told him about Nalu and what he was up to. The guy was very grateful for the information and asked them if they got paid for this.  ( not paid but greatly appreciated )
Then the guy lost sight of Nalu and was asking where is it? Where did he go?  Team R&B pointed out he was right there resting.
