01/13/2020 Monday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand, and based on their recent days today was a slow day for them.

Just before 11 am Team Billand found a hidden seal on the west side. They had to wait quite a while before there was movement and finally a flipper flex. They got the tag R3CX for positive ID.
Here some news, Team Billand has nicknamed R3CX/CZ "Nalu" which means lots of waves. He showed up during a big swell and has been hanging out with them. So let me introduce you to Nalu! Thank you Barbara for your thoughtful insight coming up with an appropriate nickname.

Next critter they spotted was RIP RR70. He was sleeping in a little pond, big seal in a little pond resting.

Then there was Kawena RH36. Initially they did not know she was there until they happen to turn and see a huge seal past RIP. She was on her belly and eventually gave them a flipper flex to get her tag ID. She is looking gorgeous, body in good condition.
