2/17/2015 DB's Dailies: Aukai&Kainoa@RI,Haupu&Nihoa@Maili, Kolohe@Maili Pt, 2-17-15, Y/N, Ka'ena,RW02,R330&Luana@KP

The arrival of a DanaText at 0551 began the day. Benny (RE74) had overnighted at Kaimana Beach. Colleen called at 0820 to advise that he was gone. Witnesses said he left around 0745.

 BG was no longer at Kaupo Beach Park on my 0645 check. I did not see her today.

 On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island at 0852 I found Aukai (RL12), 50 ft right of 1BS. She would move down at 0910 and would depart at 0929.

 On a pan at 0913 I found Kainoa (RN04) moving out from behind the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS. I’d had no idea that he was there. He would move down at 0955 and would remain near the water line the rest of the day.

 Team Billand checked in at 0730 with the report of Haupu (RB24) once again floating and foraging in the Maipalaoa Canal, Maili.

 At 0916 they would discover that Nihoa (R912) was also there, but foraging further inside the canal. Both would later haul out near the bridge, on the Uleawa’s side of the canal.
