March 9, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕
Marilyn did check Rabbit Island and once again there were no seals seen during her observations. Marilyn noted the last time she saw seals on Rabbit Island was on March 3rd.  's

Team R&B's first find was their girl Kala RH76. She is looking nice and plump these days. She was alone on the rocks resting peacefully.
While on site they spotted a smaller seal resting at the zen area. They weren't sure who it was, so they spent the time studying the seal, and saw it was a male with tags. Aha! It was RP30 Puka who they were delighted to see. They couldn't remember if he's been in this area before.

They headed over to the outfall area checking out a couple of seals foraging/fighting. Trying to get their IDs wasn't easy, but they believe one of them was RL20 Kalua, because of his facial scars and red tags. The other seal was more difficult.
They waited forever for the two seals to move on. Finally one of them landed and it was RM31 Kai, he was moaning and groaning. Then RL20 Kalua came up, but the two fought and RL20 would leave and went back to feast on the bait ball. RM31 Kai stayed on the rocks.

And then there were the whales. Team R&B actually saw them in several spots today.  Some of the boats were out. One pod had about five to six whales, lots of head lunges, flukes flying, lots of spouting. As always it was a thrill to observe them.

Also while watching the seals and whales off shore they noticed one boobie out at the bait ball eating.  Another one of mother natures gifts.
