March 11, 2025 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:35 to 2:35 pm today. After a week with no Hawaiian monk seals seen, she finally had one today.
Between 3BS and SRI was an Adult Female: adult size, older clean coat, two red tags and a tannish brown female belly. Most of Marilyn's viewing was looking at her back, she seems healthy.

When Team R&B arrived at pokai they didn't see any seals. Then
someone with a cell phone let them know they saw a seal. They went looking and found RH76 Kala well hidden in upper rocks.
There was a woman walking towards her, so Team R&B asked her to be careful. The woman hung out with Team R&B and they told her all about Kala. She is looking hapai once again.
Kale finally moved out of her hiding spot to the shallow pond to cool off.

Checking out Kahe they found two seals snoozing peacefully. They
ID'd RM31 Kai and RL08.
Around 11:30 am, the akule boats laid nets off the kahe/outfall area. Team R&B could see the floaters and net at the jetty. The net pretty much blocked anything from entering or leaving the outfall.
A seal passed by and headed straight for the boats and nets. They could not tell which seal it was.
They rechecked on RM31 and RL08. It looks like it was RL08 who was heading for the nets and stealing fish. RM31 was having big boy dreams.  Team R&B was surprised to see that RL20 Kalua was now up on the rocks resting.

Team R&B decided to make their way to nimitz to check out the area.  They arrived late but were happy to find the two boys out there today. RN14 Kalani was on the opposite side of the reef and R407 Kawika was to the right on Kermits reef.

Before calling it a day they went to recheck on the seals at the outfall. The boats and nets were still out there and so were the seals. They were able to ID RH32 Kaale who was with RL08.
