Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:43 to 3:23 pm and there were two seals seen on island today.
Almost directly down from the 3BS was an Unknown Adult: adult size, two red days, not sure about the sex, since Marilyn never got a ventral view.
Near the SRI surge channel was a Sub-Adult Female: sub-adult size, light tan female belly with lots of green and two red tags.
Team R&B's first stop at kahe they spotted a seal on the rocks. The seal was RM31 Kai sleeping but hewasn't exactly alone. He had a crab buddy nipping at his fur.
Checking the outfall they saw two seals foraging. They were able to ID RH32 Kaale, but had nothing to determine the other seals ID.
Team R&B got word from a friend of a seal at plains. So of course they headed out and found Rl08. He had just hauled out and the lifeguards had a zone set up around him.
Next they headed to nimitz and were delighted to witness a very cute sighting. There was little RT62 Kaiwa with "uncle" R407. RT62 is doing just fine, for a little one she has been managing just fine. For Team R&B they are thrilled to have her hanging out where they can enjoy her.
They went back and rechecked the area by tracks. The akule boat who laid the nets off kahe was still there finishing up and left at 3:30. After they left the boobie took advantage pigging out on the fish they tossed out.
Team R&B did see a seal on shore from afar. They were able to ID big boy Kaale RH32 with his adoring fans.
