Their first stop was at kahe where they found RM31 Kai nice and dry on the rocks. He had company today. RL08 was on the other rock formation. Both seals resting peacefully.
From afar they spotted a seal on shore at electric beach. There were a lot of people out and about some fairly close to the seal. They weren't sure who the seal was in looked to be a sub adult male, possiblyRL20. Team R&B saw there was a volunteer on site, no signs posted.
They decided to make the ride to nimitz. They were happy to find the little cutie RT62 again. She was next to RN14 Kalani on the reef. There was a fisher on the reef close to the seals who were aware of his presence.
Team R&B went back to kahe to recheck the area. When they arrived a swimmer told them there was a seal with a hook. They went to check it out and it was RL20 Kalua in a pond resting. They could see the fishing line, but did not see a hook. It was difficult to determine how long the line was. They called it in.
There was another seal at the site. It was their reef runway boy RK72 Kekoa Alii. He was moving higher up on the rocks, probably because of the surf.
And then there was a third seal. It was R617 who made his way to RL20. They sniffed each other then RL20 took off.
They could see from afar another seal hauling up on shore at electric beach. The area was crowded, so they called the hotline. They were able to determine the big male hauled up on shore was RH32 Kaale.
Team R&B shared their amazing photos of last nights blood moon lunar eclipse.
