Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:15 to 2:40 pm and there was only one seal seen during that time.
On LPB down from the 1BS was an Adult Female: robust adult size, mottled gray brown female belly, unsure about tags. This may be the same A/F that Marilyn has been reporting recently.
Team R&B got a late start today, but they were lucky and found two seals resting at their first stop.
Mr. Kalua RL20 was on the rocks in a deep snooze, looking fat, healthy and happy. It appeared something was up with his RFF digit, it might be tucked under, or missing.
They also found Miss Kala RH76 looking nice and plump. She was alone on the rocks resting.
While on site they met a really nice couple visiting with big dog they were pet-sitting for a family. The dog was on a leash and well behaved. The woman was a retired trauma nurse. They talked story and Team R&B shared information about RH76 Kala and her history.
On their last stop they waited around hoping to see a seal, but none showed up. They did get to see the whales and today was extra special with a mom and calf putting on a show. At one point the momma whale popped up slapping her tail for a long time. The calf tried to do the same, but couldn't keep up with mom. Later the calf breached over and over but was further out.
