They started their day receiving a text from a friend about a seal hauled out on the rocks. They were in town but hurried out to the area. They were so happy they did, because there was RH76 Kala. They hadn't seen her for 5 days, so they were relieved to see her there and healthy. There was a fisherman near her when they arrived, but he moved.
The beaches were packed with people, hopefully Kala won't get run off.
At another west side location they found a male way out at the seal inlet. The seal had a clean coat just a mark on the right side of its face. They think it could be RM31 but aren't sure so they are reporting it as an unknown male. His hind flippers were hidden so they couldn't see any tags.
As they were walking away they saw another seal at the play boy pond (ahh that brings back memories of good old Benny). The sleeping seal was RW02 PvKauai. They confirmed his ID by his tags, although they did not see his recently applied bleach.
Lastly they got a text of a fat seal hauled up on shore, which they didn't see the text right away. They headed over to the area and the beach was wall to wall people. But there in a zone made just for her was Miss Aukai RL12. She was looking particularly big today, even bigger than yesterday. She was resting just fine and Team R&B was grateful they made it out to see her.
