October 30, 2023 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Starting their day at the bay they found RH76 Kala. She was way up in her little area in the greenery. She later moved down to her "zen garden" and there she spent the day snoozing.
While on site they watched a seal foraging off the rocks. The Unknown Adult never landed. Team R&B thought after viewing their photos think it might be Lei Ola RH48, but there wasn't enough to make the call.

At another west side location they found a very fat and healthy Miss R604.  She was on the rocks just resting. At one point she spotted the seal to the right of her. It was RM31 Kai just chilling.  R604 just looked, as though oh he's no threat.

Next Team R&B were determined to make their way to tracks. There they spotted both RH32 Kaale and R3CX Nalu. The two males were high up on shore.
It looks like RH32 hasn't started his molt yet. On the other hand R3CX Nalu started his molt and is about 3% into it.

Arriving at Kahe they were thrilled watching over their boy RQ42 Opihi. He has begun his molt and is about 5%. His hind and fore flippers and around his chest has opened up. It will be great to him all shiny and clean.
Different area but same site they spotted a seal on the rocks. It was RL20 Kalua alone taking a break from stealing fish. He is looking really green, maybe he'll be in molt mode soon.

Their last stop was a jackpot with three male seals all on shore.
On the sand was RG28 Lefty with RG32 not too far away.
The third seal took some time, mostly because he was sandy and in between the rocks. It was RK72 Kekoa born on reef runway back in 2011.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:40 to 3:05 and there were seven seals during that time.
Initially on LPB was Adult Male 1 : adult size, about 95%  molted, light to medium gray male belly and two red tags.
At 1:56 Marilyn became aware of Female Weaner 1 about 25 feet of the 1BS. She may have been there earlier. FW1 - weaner size, yellowish female belly and two red tags.
About 60 feet Makapuu of 1BS was Adult Male 2: large adult size, about 90% molted and dark gray male belly. Tags were not seen.
At 2:30 AM1 entered the water and relocated close to AM2.
Between 1BS and 2BS were tow Juvenile Females:
JF1: juvenile size, light gray female belly.
JF2: larger juvenile size, medium gray female belly and two red tags
Near SRI was Female Weaner 2: weaner size, yellow female belly and two red tags.
Between SRI and RRB behind waterfront rocks was RK24: small adult size, new coat. light gray male belly.
