October 14, 2023 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:05 to 1:35 and there were ultimately six seals during that time.
Almost directly down from the 1BS was a fully molted RK24 Bruno/Wawamalu: adult size, new coat, two red tags and a scar on lower left lip.
A short distance Makapuu was a Subadult Female: small subadult to juvenile size, olde coat, brownish-green female belly and two red tags.
About 1/3 of the distance between 1BS and 2BS was a Subadult Male: small subadult to larger juvenile size, old coat, brownish-green male belly and two red tags.
About 12:33 pm Female Weaner 1: hauled out to the S/M: weaner size, vanilla female belly and two red tags.
Between 3BS and SRI was an Adult Female: adult size, newer coat, light gray female belly and two red tags.
Far out on RRB was Female Weaner 2: weaner size, light tan female belly and at least one red tag.

Team R&B went out early to the outfall hoping to see the same action, plus the sharks. There was no shark sightings today. But, they did see three seals foraging at the bait ball.
There was RG28 Lefty, R3CX Nalu and KG54 going for a feeding frenzy. There were a lot of humans out there swimming, diving and snorkeling.
Later the first to haul out at the rocks was RG28 Lefty. He is looking fat, so he obviously has been filling himself with lots of fish. His new wound is healing just fine.

At another west side location they were thrilled to find R604. She was back on the rocks resting and alone. She is a chubby girl, she seemed uncomfortable, trying to find a good position.

Last stop was at the bay and JACKPOT! They finally found RH76 Kala! She was resting in her shallow pond. She is looking good especially in the glistening sunlight.
