October 5, 2023 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn, Tammy and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:05 to 2:30 and there were three seals at that time.
In the middle of LPB was an Adult Male 1: adult size, older coat with lots of green, green male belly and two red tags.
A short distance away was Adult Male 2: adult size, older brown coat, male belly and two red tags.
Initially up on the berm near the 1BS was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, older coat, light gray green
female belly and unsure about tags.  She later moved down the berm and onto the beach, and met up with A/M 2.

Tammy hiked Ka'ena Point with Lesley today. Tammy describes it as a slow seal day even though they found three seals. Their first find was Holokai RG40 snoozing on the sand.
Next there was TA68 who was seen in the water. Tammy commented that he is one very large male, possibly the largest she has ever seen.
Last find of the say was LEfty RG28 who was alone on the coral.

Team R&B started their day at the bay and found Kai RM31, who was in the same spot as yesterday after Kala and he had their interaction.
Then they found RH48 Leia Ola who was all the way to the right. She was in a shallow pond snoozing with waves gently hitting her. She would look up and then go back to sleep.
They decided to hang out for a bit since there were some "characters" that raised concern. Well its good they did, they spotted RH76 Kala coming in. She hauled out on the rocks, rolling about and then laying on her side. The waves were rolled over her and she was very aware of RM31 "da pest".  Kai would turn and immediately faced Kala, but he was a good boy and stayed put.

At another west side location they found R604 alone. She was just resting and waves washed over her, but she remained.
Team R&B had to leave but on their way out, they noticed another seal with R604. So they went to check and there on lower rocks was RG32 keeping Miss R604 company.  Cute couple!
