October 6, 2023 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 3:08 and there were a total of five seals today.
Arriving together about 1:12 were an Adult Male and Adult Female 1 about 30 feet Lanikai Side of SRI.
Adult Male: adult size, older coat, brown male belly, two red tags and a scar on right side.
Adult Female 1: smaller adult size, newer coat,  two red tags, gray female belly and a small scar on the right rear side.
On the rock flats behind SRI was Juvenile Female 1 : juvenile or weaner size, light yellow female belly and two red tags. She entered  the water about 2:44 but hauled back out to the same location about 10 minutes later.
Out on RRB was Adult Female 2 : adult size, newer coat, medium gray female belly, scar on right mid chest, could not see her rear flippers so tags unknown.
Further Makapuu on RRB was Juvenile Female 2 : juvenile or weaner size, light female belly. Her rear flippers were hidden. She moved down into the RRB channel and disappeared about 12:45.

Team R&B had a slow seal day only finding two seals today.
They started their day finding RM31 Kai, who was alone today. He was resting in the spot where Kala usually stays.  Later he moved further right due to the incoming surf.

Next Team R&B talked to some folks at Kahe. They said earlier there were three sharks and a seal. So Team R&B hung out and off to the right they spotted a seal coming into the area.
Seal landed on the rocks, they were able to ID Kaale RH32. He was alone today. Team R&B noted there were large schools of fish off shore, perhaps that is why the sharks were out and about.
