1/13/2018 Monk Seal Dailies: One Rabbit Island Critter, Right Spot R016, Lei Ola RH48, PvKauai RW02, Fat U/F

FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS:  I am grateful we are all here (humans and critters) and today's emergency alert was a big fat mistake. Having said that I want to take this opportunity to let all the posse folks, all the volunteers, all the hard working professionals THANK YOU for everything you do each and every day.

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand, Gayle, Vicki and Lesley. Lesley's full Ka'ena Point Update will be part 2 of the dailies. Vicki was out from Turtle Bay to Lanai Lookout and she got skunked, not one critter.

After Gayle completed her duck and cover exercise she went to Kaupo beach and took a look at Rabbit Island. She only spotted one critter on the island. Unfortunately that was the only time she checked Rabbit Island.
This afternoon Gayle saw Right Spot R016 at Sandys. Gayle left Right Spot at Sandys at 18:30 snoozing. Volunteers were on site today, which was especially good since the beach was packed.

Team Billand found Miss Lei Ola RH48 on a Leeward Beach snoozing and very still. Waves got so big and completely surrounding her, but that little girl just lay there. And then there were bigger waves and still she remained.  On their afternoon check she was still there until Lady Ocean got the best of her, she was seen swimming out in the open ocean swimming just fine.

Team Billand's next find on the westside was RW02 PvKauai seen galumphing high up on shore. On their last check he was still there on shore sleeping in peace.

And last but not least Team Billand received an email from a friend on the westside of this bathing beauty. We have no ID other than Fat Female.
