Before Lesley headed out to Ka'ean Point this morning she went down to check on RW02 PVKauai. He had spent the night again at Camp Erdman and is about 70-75% molted.
Lesley initially thought she was going to be skunked on her trek out to Ka'ena Point until she saw a head bobbing up and down from the ocean. RO40 Ka'ena did his grand entrance to the main pool, did a circle, snorted and left. Half an hour later she found him at his pool. Good news is it seems he no longer has the fishing line or feather in his mouth. (hopefully the little hook is gone too.)
This evening she checked on RW02 PVKauai and his is still on the beach making his way up to his favorite Naupaka bushes.
Team T&D (Tammy and Dave) also made the Ka'ena Point Trek today. They passed Lesley on her way out on their way in. They only came across Ka'ena in his pool, and also feel it looks like he finally tossed the hook and line.
Gayle did not find Right Spot this morning at Sandy Beach nor did she find anything to indicate she stayed overnight. However on an afternoon check Gayle found her snoozing on the beach. She left at 18:30, we'll see what tomorrow brings. (As DB would say, only Right Spot knows). Gayle also reported one critter on Rabbit Island.
