11/6/2017 Monk Seal Dailies: Buster V08, Rabbit Island Critter and RH38 Returns Home to Kauai

Today's dailies are brought to you by Posse pal Gayle. Thank you Gayle it was a slow seal news day, at least for our posse. 

Gayle found Buster V08 at Sandys and looks like he spent the night. Word is he arrived late on Sunday. He departed at 12:15.  

Gayle also reported one seal on Rabbit Island. Gayle also reported a "strange blue thing" which according to Marilyn's report is a plastic barrel of some sort.

There was news from Kauai today that RH38 has returned home to Kauai after spending 80+ days at Ke Kai Ola (monk seal hospital) on the Big Island.  There is a you-tube clip of this release with our pal Val.  This little female had a very bad case of parasites which needed to be treated. She gained over 100 lbs while at Ke Kai Ola.  It's so wonderful they are here to help this species.
