9/19/2017 Monk Seal Dailies: Pohaku, Ka'ale, RJ & Holokai

Today's Dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and they certainly deliver!

Pohaku was at Secrets at 5:50 am snoozing by the naupaka. Call was place to the hotline. Team Billand left site at 7:23 am after volunteer arrived.

Their next find Ka'ale just arriving on rocks at Kahe. They ID'd him by visible tags but could not determine if there is any sign of his molting.

Team Billand arrived at Turtle Bay at 10:30 am initially to see one seal on the left side of the pool RJ16 sleeping on his back. Holokai RG40 was to the right side of the pool.
In a short time Holokai wakes up enters the shallows toward RJ16. RJ16 wakes up they sniff each other out and head for the water.  The two would haul out together and continue with their interaction, by hugging, slapping and sleeping. ( A real bro-mance)

At 3:27 pm Team Billand did a quick check and found Pohaku at relocated.  Volunteer on site.
