Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:23 to 1:54 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Between 3BS and SRI was the molting Adult Male: small adult size about 80% molted, male belly and two red tags.
On the rock flats Makapuu side of SRI was Sub-adult Female 1: small sub-adult size, newer coat, light medium gray female belly and at least one tag on LRF.
At RRB where she was yesterday was Sub-adult Female 2: small sub-adult size, old coat, green female belly, dark circles around her eyes, not sure about tags.
Team R&B started their day at pokai. There was a seal foraging that they studied for quite awhile. Finally it came into the area and landed, it was RM31 Kai. A fisher was at the edge of rocks fishing, when Kai popped out of the water. Must have scared the dude because he left shortly after. RM31 came right up onto the rocks.
They spotted a seal foraging further out by rest camp; It was Lei Ola RH48, at times she sped off near the harbor area where the boats were coming in, then she went back in again.
All of a sudden they noticed another seal that was green. It came toward Lei Ola who took off and he lost her. He went to the right head up high looking for her. There was a kite surfer that went down, and the green seal was right behind him The guy had no idea. Team R&B ID'd the green seal as RG32. He went after Lei Ola, and she reacted by going back to the harbor. They ended up together.
Over by the outfall they saw the green adult seal foraging again. They really do think this is RH32 Kaale but its hard to say for sure.
It was late in the day when they finally got to Makaha. There they found R3CX Nalu on shore very alert. He is 99% molted, his face got some molt to go, they said he look like da ninja.
RP28 Wakea was about 100 feet to Nalu's right. Little guy was out cold, snoozing away.
They also got to enjoy a couple of the dolphins doing what they do best.
