October 13, 2025 Monday's Dai

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:01 to 2:03 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
On LPB was a group of three seals:
Sub-adult Unknown: juvenile to sub-adult size, older coat with a fair amount of green on the ventral, two red tags, not sure about sez. The S/U was frequently hidden behind the other two seals.
RQ44 Mahina: sub-adult to adult size, new coat, her tags were not visible today.
Adult Male: adult size, older coat, male belly, scar on right rear side. This is probably RK24 Bruno.
Alone on RRB was a Weaner Male: weaner to juvenile size, light tan male belly, two red tags. This is probably either RU48 or RU64.

Team R&B's first sighting of the day at pokai was their buddy. While walking out to the site they felt something above them and it was buddy flying in. They were happy to see him after a couple of day.
They spotted the lovely couple Nalu R3CX and Lei Ola RH48 again out in the open water foraging. It was a little hard to see them at time as they were further out and got separated and then back together.
Later they spotted Lei Ola in the harbor entrance foraging. This worried Team R&B a bit because of the boats coming in. They stuck around and were relieved when she moved by rest camp side.

+At Kahe they found one seal. In their words it was big fat Kaale RH32. He was alone enjoying the waves washing over him, resting peacefully.

They spotted a seal onshore at tracks, but the waves got to the seal and it left. They watched and the seal ID'd as RP28 Wakea moved over to another section of the camps. He went all the way up, rolled over and settled in. He did have a visitor who out with him as he moved down and back up the shoreline.

At the outfall they saw multiple seals. The first one seen was an adult with lots of green, they ID'd as RL08. Then there were three seals. One was an adult size, clean coat, who they believe to be RL12 Aukai, in that they saw her scars. The other adult with clean coat they believe to be RL20 Kalua.  A fourth seal showed up, RH32 must have left his spot on the rocks. The waves were big and had covered the area where he had been.

Lastly they saw a seal from afar at Makaha. They drove over to the area and scaled the fence, since they were determined to get an ID. The seal was high up on shore and they were happy to ID R3CX Nalu. They though this mystery seal might have been him, and today they confirmed it.
