October 21, 2025 Tuesdays Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:18 to 2:10 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Initially near the cliff at the back of the middle of LPB was a Weaner Unknown: weaner size, older coat, yellow belly (maybe female) and two red tags. If it is a female, it is probably RU38. The weaner moved down the beach to inspect the dead/dying bird on the sand.
Adult Male 1 was on the 1BS side of LPB: adult size, about 65%
molted with huge pieces of fur waiting to fall off, male belly and two red tags. This may be RK24.
At 12:46 pm Marilyn found that RQ44 Mahina had joined AM1 but soon headed away from him. She stayed in the general area. RQ44: sub-adult size, new coat, light female belly, did not see her tags.
Between 3BS and SRI was Adult Male 2: smaller adult sizze, old coat with a fair amount of green, male belly and two red tags. AM2 has started to molt is about 10%/
At 1:07 pm Marilyn found that a Juvenile Male had hauled out on the
rock flats on the RRB side of SRI. Juvenile size, new coat, two red tags and light gray male belly. Marilyn thinks this is the same slender JM  she has been seeing  for the past week.

Team R&B's first find was R3CX Nalu foraging alone on the jetty side of pokai. They saw two more seals on the Rest Camp side.  Nalu disappeared early from pokai, but around noon he was at Makaha. He is still molting.

From afar they saw seals foraging on the rest camp side. There were
times the two were fighting. Team R&B made their way over and spotted the two seals. They were surprised to ID Aukai RL12 and she was with RG32. She was annoyed by him and fought back at him.  She moved to the Harbor side, and RG32 kept looking for her. He found her again and came close to shore but then headed further out.

Lastly they spotted a seal foraging just off the outfall area.  There was only one fisher out today. The seal never landed and Team R&B didn't have much to work with. It was reported as an Unknown Adult.
