08/06/2020 Thursday Act-With-Care Monk Seal Dailies

 Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies.

Team Billand arrived at a west side location where they found RF28 Paakea at the water front rocks alone at first.

Then Barb happen to look to the left and saw a head moving to the rocks. When she got closer she was happy to RL70 Leina making her way between the rocks. Her tags were visible and they noted she has three white nails on her right fore flipper.  Paakea never knew she was there.

RL20 Kalua came right in up on the rocks with RF28 Paakea. There were some interactions, nothing bad, all very sweet. Paakea accepted Kalua with opened flippers and then both went to sleep.

Ka'ale RH32 came right in, no problem. He hauled up on lower rocks and went right to sleep. He never saw RL70 Leina, she kept very still, very quiet.

And then trouble arrived. Benny RE74 came in and it was full on actin and drama. He was mean and barked, mostly at RF28 Paakea.  At one point while Paakea and Benny were going at it RL20 Kalua dove down in the shallow pond, and both Benny and Paakea were shocked. Benny dove into the shallows and out going after RL20. In the end RF28 Paakea went into a pond, being very cautious going by Benny and RL20.

Team Billand found RK36 Kauai Kolohe at Ka'ena West. He was on the rocks, fast asleep. His tag was visible and he was still there on their way back.

They found N4 Kai alone on the rocks sleeping in peace. His N4 bleach was visible (readable is another story). 

To the left of him was his momma RL42 Leia. She is about 75% molted and looking much better. 

And now a male came up on the rocks sniffing looking and barking. It was RN14 Kalani checking out Leia. He went right into the pond with her and they went to sleep. Peaceful which is nice.
