August 9, 2019 (part two) Lesley's Ka'ena Update

Team T&D and I went out together today part hiking, part driving, part hiking, part driving,... (I didn't repeat the typing we did back and forth).
We even include going nearly half way out to the Waianae side but it was at the worse time of the day when you are actually stepping on your shadow so we turned back.

Again the first part of the day was finding empty wallows. Our first seal was RG28 "Lefty" 100% molted at the entrance of the NARS
Next was RO40 "Ka'ena" at the entrance of his pool.

Our entertainment at the point was R330 "Squinty" going back and forth from Main Beach to Back Beach, to Main Beach, to Runway, back to Main Beach...at one point we looked from the hill and noticed that "Ka'ena" had entered the water and was heading to the point.
We had done so much outreach there that we felt comfortable to leave to go do the Waianae side.

Back on this side RN58 "Luana" was hauled out on the Lyman's side of Birth Beach. She's 100% molted.  More tomorrow ðŸŒº
