10/26/2016 DB's Dailies: Kolohe,Kekoa&Kawena@Rabbit Island, Aukai,Ka'ena&Ka'ale@Ka'ena Pt, Pohaku@Maili Pt, Benny@Lahilahi, Kaiwi@Outrigger CC, RW02@Kea'aus, RK36@Yokes, Holokai&Ua Malie@Turtle Bay,

When I arrived to Makai Pier at 0800 I found Kolohe (RW22) snoozin’ fronting 1BS, land an 80% molted Kekoa (RK72) doing the same, 80 ft right of 3BS.

At 0814 Kawena (RH36) hauled out and galumphed up to join Kolohe at 1BS. She startled him out of his snooze, but both recovered and went to snooze mode relatively quickly. Kolohe would enter the water at 1210, and Kawena followed at 1212. Kolohe would haul out to his starting point at 1221, while Kawena would haul out to 2BS at 1231.

Tammy T., checked in at 0744, advising that she had Aukai (RL12)&Ka’ena (RO40) at Ka’ena Point. She would text again at 0847 to report that Ka’ale (RH32) had joined the pair at the End of the World.

At 0748 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Beach Park.

The find of the day came from the Billands at 0842 when they reported Benny (RE74) at LahiLahi. This marks his first sighting since his release. They said he appeared happy & well.

At 0902 the Team Billand reported RW02, alone at Kea’aus. He was reportedly run off at 1200.

At 1008 the Billands found RK36 at Yokes.

1800 ColleenMail brought word that Kaiwi (RK96) has been at Outrigger Canoe Club.

Evening email from the wilds of the Upper East Side from Carola brought excellent shots of Holokai’s (RG40) continuing molt, as well as shots of mama Ua Malie(RT10).
