DB's Dailies: Buster@RI, Kea@BH, Haupu&RIP@ WP, Kolohe&EK36@Maili Pt

On my first look at Rabbit Island, at 0723 I could barely see Buster (RV08) behind the Morning Glory, at the base of the cliff, 40 ft left of 1BS. This is precisely yesterday’s location. Though he never moved into full view through the rest of the day , I was able to make the Buster ID based on partial looks at his molt. No percentage is possible based on my limited look.

I thought Buster was going to be it for the SE quadrant, but a call from Gayle at 1719...”Guess who is here at the cove? “ added Kea (RN46) to the cast. He had not been there on my 1414 check. He was still there at dark.

 At 0911 Team Billand checked in with the report of the arrival of Haupu (RB24) fronting the Surf Shack, White Plains. At 1006 they called to advise that RIP (RR70) had hauled out to join her. Haupu departed at 1700. RIP snoozin’ , no clue she is gone.

 At 1453 they called with the report of Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Point. At 1545 they advised that they had found RK36, 40 ft away from Kolohe at Maili Point.
